Vanessa Leach

Education has been my path, my passion, and my purpose for over twenty years. Driven by a personal commitment to support children who face barriers to education, just as I once did, I spent 10 years as a teacher working directly with students, focused on reaching those who were often overlooked. This experience shaped my perspective on the power of education to uplift and inspired me to create environments where every student feels visible, valued, and supported. After joining Tute over ten years ago, I led our teaching and learning team, developing a unique approach to online pedagogy tailored to reach students where traditional settings couldn’t. Today, I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built, each member dedicated to making a real difference in students’ lives. What we do at Tute is simple, what we achieve is incredible. 

As Managing Director, I lead with a vision of an education system where any child, anywhere, can achieve their potential. My role centres on fostering a culture of integrity, openness, and collaboration that brings this vision to life. I believe in leading from the front – staying involved in the day-to-day, empowering our team with a voice, and guiding Tute to be more than a service provider; to be a genuine partner to schools, local authorities, and non-mainstream settings, ensuring we work together to meet each student’s unique needs. Listening to our partners and staying attuned to shifts in education are essential to shaping our service and by driving innovation and dedication, I aim to ensure that Tute evolves to support our partners and students effectively.  

For us, success isn’t measured by the numbers or the reach we achieve, but by the real, lasting impact we make on students’ lives and the futures we help shape.
