Shared provision pathways
At Tute, we’re committed to providing high-quality education for students in alternative provision (AP). To help you make enrolment quicker and easier while ensuring students receive the curriculum they deserve, we’ve created predefined pathways within our Virtual School and Courses.
These pathways are designed to reflect what students in AP need most, offering a rich and balanced curriculum that supports both academic and personal development.

Designed to meet expectations
Our pathways align with guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted, ensuring that students in AP receive the same high-quality education as their mainstream peers.
As the DfE states:
“Good alternative provision is that which appropriately meets the needs of pupils which required its use and enables them to achieve good educational attainment on par with their mainstream peers.”
Ofsted echoes this, stating:
“APs must deliver the same high-quality education expected in mainstream schools.”
With pathways that include at least 18 hours of provision where Tute is the main or sole provider, we ensure students in AP receive a comprehensive and meaningful education.
Flexible and student-focused
Our pathways are designed to make enrolment simple while providing flexibility to meet each student’s unique needs. Partners can select from pre-planned pathways or continue to build personalised timetables. This ensures that whether you need structured options or bespoke provision, Tute can support your students effectively.
Introducing mentoring to support success
As part of our shared provision, we are proud to offer mentoring sessions delivered by our student support associates (SSAs). These sessions are included at no extra cost for students accessing the comprehensive and reintegration pathways.
Mentoring, delivered in our platform and recorded, is designed to:

Students preparing to return to mainstream education benefit from personalised guidance to rebuild confidence and thrive in new environments.
