Celebrating excellence: Tute Education awarded the Research Mark accreditation
At Tute Education, milestones like this remind us not just why we do what we do (we needn’t look further than our students for that), but why we strive for excellence and high quality in all that we do. We are dedicated to excellence in education by leveraging the expertise of our qualified teachers and advanced technology to support and empower students.
We’re thrilled that we’ve been awarded the prestigious Research Mark accreditation by the Chartered College of Teaching. This accolade isn’t just a stamp of approval; it’s a testament to the values that define Tute—excellence, collaboration, and equity. It’s a moment of pride for every single person who makes our work possible.
We are the first online provider to recieve this accreditation.
When we heard the good news following a submission and accreditation visit, I couldn’t help but reflect on what this recognition truly signifies. At its heart, the Research Mark celebrates a culture of curiosity and evidence-informed practice, where the question isn’t just “what works?” but “what works best for our students?” For us at Tute, that question guides everything; keeping the student resolutely at the core of all we do.
The path to Research Mark: a shared journey
Earning this accreditation was no easy feat, and that’s exactly how it should be. The process demanded a deep dive into every aspect of our work.
The Chartered College of Teaching evaluated our practices against five rigorous criteria, including the research culture we nurture, the staff development we champion, the collaborative spirit we foster both within and beyond our organisation. Their feedback highlighted some of the things we’re most proud of:

– A commitment to making research accessible and actionable for all staff, from professional learning communities to our innovative Tute Huddles.
But it wasn’t just about ticking boxes. It was about showcasing how research drives better outcomes for our students—because at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.

As a founding organisation in online education, this recognition carries even greater weight. Online learning has often faced scepticism, but at Tute, we’ve always believed in proving its potential through action, not argument. Every day we work together with schools, LAs, and NM settings to address educational gaps and achieve meaningful outcomes for students.
