Tute overview
As part of the UK's largest out of classroom education company, Tute strives constantly to evolve its services in support of schools. To fulfil its purpose of making the best teaching available to all, Tute has set about reinventing the tutoring model with a view to making high impact learning affordable and more accessible.
By deploying the latest in online learning technologies, Tute is able to provide tutoring for as little as £5 per child per session, and often for less, without compromising on the quality of teaching. Indeed, our courses are taught only by UK based, qualified teachers and include pre and post diagnostic assessment so that the attainment improvement of each and every pupil can be measured.
With tailored courses of 24 lessons for up to 12 students starting at just £1,200, Tute is a proven proposition to help supplement learning in schools. Here's what education leaders are saying:
"Tute offers a phenomenal service that supports teachers with intervention, that goes above and beyond what can be offered in the classroom
"David Langlands, Head of Science, Seaham School of Technology
"
tute gives teachers and senior leaders a flexible and targeted intervention strategy. The platform allows students to focus and engage in their learning and feedback from students has been incredibly positive"
Helen Feetham, Assistant Head teacher, Dene Community School
Results bear testimony to the confidence school leaders are showing in our technology. To date, of all students who have been taught through our courses and completed pre and post measurement, 86% have demonstrated clear and visible progress. For maths solely, the figure is 100%.
Tute courses are utilised in schools as supplemental programmes to help deliver:
• Targeted intervention programmes to address students who are falling behind in their learning
• Support for LAC, SEN, children entitled to FSM and for those needing booster tuition
• Packages for excluded pupils or parental involvement programmes
• An environment to stretch G&T students through tailored courses and modules
• Learning during the holiday periods (eg summer schools for year 6-7 transition)
Tute offers cost effective packages of support tailored to the needs of your school, the majority being targeted at students at levels 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 and 5-6 across maths and English, and for intervention. Courses are made up of either 3 or 6 modules with each module consisting of two lessons. Pupil attainment is measured by individual module.
Students are assessed using Tute's online diagnostic tools and the results used to appropriate the content of the course to be delivered. Homework tasks are similarly allocated to individual students based upon identified weaknesses and are aimed to help foster independent learning skills.
Once the course is completed, the diagnostic assessment is repeated and individual student progress quantified. Schools are therefore able to demonstrate how the investment in Tute education services has resulted in improved attainment at both a cohort and individual level.
"Our students really enjoy working online, they find it engaging – it's a medium with which they are very comfortable"
Stephen Doneghan, Deputy Head teacher, Seaham School of Technology.
